Hanekawa Tsubasa

A fan art of Tsubasa Hanekawa from the awesome Studio SHAFT anime called Bakemonogatari. It's based off of a light novel series that I wish i could read, but i don't know how to read Japanese After seeing the new episode 13 (only shown on the web and not aired on tv), i felted inclined to draw her. Here's a piece taken from the novel that was shown in the anime, tellig the main character's thoughts after she embarrassingly reveals her ears.

"Cat ears.
Cat ears have sprouted from Hanekawa's cute little head.
I stayed silent and bit my lip.
Hard enough to draw blood.
Don't laugh...
I have to be serious.
CAN'T LAUGH.

Saying something so solemnly to someone, and then having them break down laughing is like a gag from a comic.

Above all I can't do that.
I told her i wouldn't...

But, those ears...
They fit so well with her neatly-trimmed bangs, it's as if They were made for her.
I thought so during golden week too.

She's the kind of woman who was born to wear cat ears."

If i've learned anything from this show, it's that too much stress apparently can make you grow cat ears. SO BE VERY CAREFUL. Unless you like having cat ears
